Quad Force One: America’s Most Consistent DCL Team, Profiled

For a stretch of the Drone Champions League’s history, you could pencil Quad Force One in for third. When the league reviewed its 2022 season, it noted the American team had kept its streak of finishing third overall in every DCL season. In a sport defined by crashes and one-heat swings, that is remarkable consistency.

The team kept going longer than most of its 2021 rivals, reaching the 2024 Superfinal. It is not on the 2026 grid.

The record: always on the podium

Quad Force One was a DCL regular from the league’s early seasons. In the 2020 virtual season it was tied for second with Denmark’s APEX on 870 points after the Proptown round. In 2021 it beat Russia’s Drone Sports Global 18–12 in the season-finale Small Final to lock up third overall, per the DCL’s finale report.

The league’s 2022 team announcement listed PropsicleFPV, SFPV and Roo among its pilots. That season, in what the DCL called the closest championship in its history, the third-place streak held.

The 2023 and 2024 finals

Quad Force One was one of four teams at the 2023 Super Final in the Old Town Amphitheatre in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, on December 20. Its roster that night, according to the official line-ups:

XBlades won that title. A year later, Quad Force One reached the four-team 2024 Superfinal and lost to Cyclone Racing in the lower bracket. Cyclone then came from last in the group stage to win the championship, per the DCL’s Superfinal report. Quad Force One finished fourth.

Quad Force One’s exit came at the end of the most dramatic Superfinal in years. Its last DCL match was a lower-bracket defeat to the team that went on to win the title from last place.

Where Quad Force One’s pilots race now

The 2026 DCL Cups are contested by Vexcel Spain Drone Team, DCL Wildcard Team, Cyclone Drone Racing, Raiden Racing, Aspan and Squadron78. The American flag in the league now belongs to Cyclone, which finished third in the Falcon Cup.

Open-class racing is the other outlet. The 2026 MultiGP Championship in Carrollton, Texas, ran October 15–17 with 64 pilots. US racers filled five of the top ten spots, led by Mason “Hyper” Lively in sixth. See our MultiGP finals coverage.

Cyclone: America’s DCL team now

Cyclone Drone Racing has taken over the American seat. Its 2023 AlUla roster was Joaquin “JBox” Ybanez, Chesley “TheIceCheetah” Wick, Zach “ZionFPV” Ruschak and Jonny “Fluorescent” Enxer. A year later it pulled off one of the great DCL comebacks. Cyclone finished last in the 2024 Superfinal group stage. It then won the title, beating Quad Force One, Spain Drone Team and Raiden Racing in turn.

The 2026 season has been tougher. ZionFPV was fourth in the January sim seeding race in 1:19.601. In the Falcon Cup, Cyclone lost 21–9 to Vexcel Spain Drone Team in the quarterfinal and beat Raiden 16–13 in the rebound round. It then fell 18–12 to the DCL Wildcard Team, finishing third. JBox went into the 2026 MultiGP Championship as defending champion and finished tenth.

What a comeback would take

The door back into the DCL is narrower than it was in Quad Force One’s day. The 2026 season began with a virtual seeding race on the DCL simulator, and only the top three flew on to the live final in Riyadh. The six Cup places were held by Vexcel Spain Drone Team, the DCL Wildcard Team, Cyclone, Raiden, Aspan and Squadron78. A returning American team would need a sim pace close to the 1:18 posted by Spain and Raiden in January to be competitive.

For American fans, the practical route is to follow the pilots rather than the badge. That means Cyclone in the DCL, and the US contingent at MultiGP, where five Americans made the top ten of the 2026 Championship.

Betting on Quad Force One

DraftKings’ drone racing deal was with the Drone Racing League and priced individual DRL races, not DCL team results. DRL’s own site has listed no event after the February 2025 Miami Invitational.
