FanDuel Predicts Sign-Up Bonus & Welcome Offer: Trade $1 for 5 Days | Review

FanDuel Predicts pairs America's biggest sportsbook brand with CME Group's exchanges. We cover how it is regulated, what it costs, where it works and our verdict.

FanDuel Predicts rewards new customers who trade at least $1 a day for five days in a row. The maximum bonus goes to those who keep the streak going. The offer is open in 18 states and needs no promo code.

Trading event contracts involves risk of loss. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. Market availability depends on your location.

FanDuel Predicts welcome offer

FanDuel’s Predicts promotions page sets out the structure: a first-time deposit, then a minimum $1 trade on five consecutive days for the maximum bonus. Only your first real-money trade starts the offer. FanDuel does not publish the bonus amount on that page, so check the current welcome offer in the app.

The bonus is paid as non-withdrawable Predicts Bonus and expires 24 hours after you receive it. Use it the same day.

The offer is only valid in Alaska, Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Utah.

FanDuel Predicts sign-up bonus: how to claim it

  1. Join FanDuel Predicts from one of the 18 eligible states. You must be 18 or over.
  2. Make your first deposit; a first-time deposit is required.
  3. Place a trade of at least $1. This first real-money trade starts the offer.
  4. Trade at least $1 on each of the next four days to reach five consecutive days.
  5. Use each bonus within 24 hours of it landing in your account.

Miss a day and you lose the run to the maximum bonus, so set a reminder if you are serious about the full amount.

FanDuel Predicts promo code

FanDuel’s Predicts promotions page does not mention a promo code for the new-customer offer. The terms tie it to your first deposit and trade instead.

Separately, the Predicts page runs a refer-a-friend offer: $20 in FanDuel bonus for each friend who signs up, up to $200. Referred players must deposit $5 and trade $5 within 30 days of signing up, and that bonus expires seven days after receipt.

FanDuel Predicts offer terms worth knowing

  • 18 states only: customers elsewhere cannot claim it.
  • Five consecutive days of $1-plus trades for the maximum bonus.
  • 24-hour expiry on each Predicts Bonus credit.
  • Non-withdrawable: the bonus can be traded, not cashed out.

FanDuel Predicts review

When FanDuel decided to sell event contracts, it did not build an exchange or rent one from a start-up. It went to CME Group, the Chicago derivatives giant behind futures on everything from the S&P 500 to corn. The two formed FanDuel Prediction Markets, and the contracts in the FanDuel Predicts app are listed on CME’s exchanges.

That gives FanDuel Predicts the heaviest institutional backing in the category. It is open from 18, its general markets work nationwide, and its single 2% fee is easy to understand. The trade-off is reach: sports contracts, the reason most people download it, are live in only a limited group of states.

Who runs FanDuel Predicts

According to the official FanDuel Predicts page, the app belongs to FanDuel Prediction Markets, “a joint venture between FanDuel Group and CME Group.” Your account is opened with FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a registered futures commission merchant and member of the National Futures Association. The contracts themselves are listed by CME Group derivatives exchanges and regulated by the CFTC.

So FanDuel is the broker and CME is the exchange. That is a different structure from Kalshi or Polymarket US, which run their own exchanges. For a trader, the practical upshot is that the contract rules and settlement sit with the largest derivatives marketplace in the US.

Why FanDuel left Nevada

In November 2025, FanDuel and DraftKings agreed with the Nevada Gaming Control Board to surrender their Nevada approvals and withdraw pending applications. Nevada regulators called prediction markets incompatible with the state’s gaming rules. FanDuel said its views on prediction markets outside regulated states conflicted with Nevada’s priorities. The move freed FanDuel to sell sports contracts in states with no legal sportsbook.

Markets on FanDuel Predicts

Sports drive the app, with crypto, finance and culture alongside:

  • NFL and college football: game outcomes plus player markets such as touchdowns, passing yards and interceptions.
  • NBA and MLB: game and player markets.
  • Football combos: up to eight predictions in a single trade, and all of them must hit.
  • Crypto, finance and culture: price levels, market moves and entertainment outcomes, available nationwide.

Live scores run inside each market during games, so you can sell a position mid-game at the current price.

FanDuel Predicts fees

FanDuel charges a flat 2% of the potential payout, built into the total cost shown before you confirm. The same fee applies when you sell early.

Buy 100 contracts with a $100 potential payout and $2 of the cost is the fee. On a 50-cent contract, that is 4% of your $50 stake. On a 90-cent favorite, it is about 2.2% of a $90 stake, but it takes a fifth of your $10 profit. Heavy favorites are where this model hurts most; mid-priced and long-shot contracts are where it is easiest to live with.

To see how much a fee shifts your break-even, our implied probability calculator converts the all-in price into the probability you need to beat.

Age, states and sign-up

FanDuel Predicts accepts traders aged 18 and over. FanDuel Sportsbook, by contrast, is 21+ in nearly every state.

General markets are open in all 50 states. Sports contracts are limited to a smaller group of states, generally ones where FanDuel Sportsbook does not operate. If you live in a sportsbook state, you will usually see finance and culture markets in Predicts and sports in the sportsbook app. Our state betting hub covers the licensed sportsbooks, and the legal states tracker follows the litigation shaping sports contracts.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can fund FanDuel Predicts with a debit or credit card or by bank transfer. Crypto deposits are not supported.

Withdrawals to a debit card arrive within 24 hours; online banking takes three to five business days.

The app

FanDuel Predicts is a standalone app, separate from FanDuel Sportsbook. The layout borrows heavily from the sportsbook, with game cards, player markets and live scores, so it will feel familiar to anyone who has placed a bet on FanDuel. Each trade shows its all-in cost, fee included, before you confirm.

A FanDuel Predicts trade, worked through

Say a quarterback’s “over 249.5 passing yards” contract trades at 45 cents. You buy enough contracts for a $50 potential payout.

  • Contracts: 50 at $0.45 = $22.50.
  • Fee: 2% of the $50 payout = $1, shown in the total before you confirm.
  • All-in cost: $23.50.
  • If he goes over: you collect $50, a profit of $26.50.
  • If he falls short: you lose $23.50.

Your break-even probability is 47%, not 45%, because of the fee. Use our expected value calculator to check whether your own estimate clears that bar.

What CME Group brings

CME Group runs the exchanges where US interest-rate, equity-index, energy and agricultural futures trade. Listing FanDuel’s contracts there puts them inside the same surveillance, clearing and rulebook framework as those institutional products.

For a casual user, that mostly shows up as reliability: settlement follows written rules and an established clearing process. It does not shield the product from state litigation over sports contracts, which is why FanDuel limits those to a smaller group of states.

Responsible play and taxes

The Predicts page carries a responsible gaming helpline, 1-800-522-4700, alongside FanDuel’s account tools. Profits are taxable; keep your statements and speak to a tax professional about reporting.

Who FanDuel Predicts suits

  • Sportsbook-style users who want a familiar interface and player props.
  • Traders aged 18 to 20, who are shut out of FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Combo fans, with up to eight football legs per trade.

It suits fee-sensitive traders less, especially on favorites.

How it compares

Against DraftKings Predictions, FanDuel is simpler to price but never cheaper. Its 2% of a $1 payout works out to two cents per contract at any price. That matches DraftKings in the middle of the range and doubles it on contracts under 20 cents or above 96 cents. Against Kalshi, FanDuel has fewer categories and no weather or economic data depth, but the sportsbook-style interface is friendlier for first-timers.

Head-to-head

App CFTC role Age Trading fee
FanDuel Predicts FCM (CME-listed) 18+ 2% of payout
DraftKings Predictions FCM 18+ $0.01–$0.02 per contract
Kalshi DCM 18+ 0.07 × price × (1 − price)

Against Polymarket US, FanDuel has a gentler learning curve. Polymarket rewards traders who are comfortable with limit orders and charges makers nothing.

Before you deposit

  • Check your state’s sports list. Open the app with location services on and see which leagues load. If sports are missing, you are in a state where FanDuel keeps contracts to finance and culture.
  • Price in the 2%. The fee is shown in the total, so compare that all-in number, not the headline price, with what you would get elsewhere.
  • Read the settlement rules. Each market names the source that decides it. For player props, know exactly which stat and which official record counts before you trade. Compare the all-in price with the same prop at a licensed sportsbook if you have one in your state.
  • Set limits early. A sportsbook-style interface makes it easy to trade more often than you planned. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Our verdict on FanDuel Predicts

FanDuel Predicts is a polished, conservative product with the most heavyweight exchange partner in the category. If you are 18 to 20, or you live in a state with no sportsbook, it is an easy first app.

Its weak spots are cost on favorites and limited sports access. Traders who want depth and lower fees will end up at Kalshi or Polymarket US. Casual fans will find FanDuel the most comfortable place to start.
