Falcons Racing are South Korea’s premier FPV racing team. They launched onto the scene back in 2019 as Veloce Racing before changing their name a year later.
The youthful-looking Korea team swiftly became a force to be reckoned with in the Drone Champions League. They won their first ever race at an opener in Laax, then score points in every race they competed in.
Drone racing is big news in South Korea, and the country has produced some world-class pros in the past few years. YoungRok “YOUNGROK” Son is a two-time championship winner who has also secured finishes at the Asia Drone Championship. Son has also flown for the UK team, XBlades.
Although dominated by Korean players in the 2020 Drone Champions League, the Falcons also had able support from Australia’s Thomas Bitmatta and Cuba’s Angel “AJ_FPV” Rivera.
But the star of the Falcons Racing team is undoubtedly Minjae “Theo” Kim. Kim was 10 years old during the 2020 season when the Falcons just missed the podium, making him the DCL’s youngest ever drone pilot.
