DraftKings Predictions Sign-Up Bonus & Welcome Offer: What New Traders Get | Review

DraftKings Predictions puts event contracts in front of DraftKings' huge customer base at one or two cents a contract. We cover the regulation, fees, states, banking and our verdict.

DraftKings Predictions lists its new-customer offer in the Rewards tab of its site and app. Check the current welcome offer there before you trade. It is DraftKings’ own event exchange, open from 18, with contracts that cost one or two cents each in fees.

Trading event contracts involves risk of loss. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. Market availability depends on your location and pending litigation.

DraftKings Predictions welcome offer

DraftKings keeps Predictions promotions in one place: the Rewards page, linked from the main Predictions menu. Check the current welcome offer there; the amount, the qualifying trade and the expiry all sit in the offer’s own terms.

Read three things before you opt in. First, whether the credit is withdrawable or has to be traded. Second, how long you have to use it. Third, which markets count, since sports contracts are blocked or limited in a long list of states.

DraftKings Predictions promo code

DraftKings has not issued a Predictions promo code to us, and none is needed to view the offers in the Rewards tab.

Codes advertised by sports media partners and influencers are their own affiliate codes. We do not publish them.

DraftKings Predictions offer terms worth knowing

  • Check withdrawability: promotional credit on prediction apps is usually non-withdrawable.
  • Expiry: credit that is not traded by the deadline is lost.
  • State limits: sports contracts are blocked or restricted in several states, which can limit where a bonus can be used.
  • Long shots: the flat per-contract fee bites hardest on very cheap contracts.

DraftKings Predictions review

DraftKings gave up its Nevada sportsbook ambitions in November 2025 to clear the way for prediction markets elsewhere. A month later, on December 19, 2025, DraftKings Predictions went live in 38 states. By the summer of 2026 it had its own exchange, DKeX, and reached almost the whole country.

The pitch is simple: event contracts for one or two cents each, inside a brand most American sports fans already have an account with, open from age 18. The limits are legal rather than technical. Sports contracts are blocked or restricted in a long list of states, and the flat fee punishes very cheap long shots.

Who runs DraftKings Predictions

The product belongs to DraftKings Inc., the Boston-based sportsbook and daily fantasy operator. Its official Predictions site states that event contract trading “is offered by DraftKings Predictions, a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA member.”

That makes DraftKings a broker in CFTC terms: it holds your funds and routes orders. The interesting move came underneath. DraftKings bought Railbird Technologies in October 2025 and used it to build DKeX, its own exchange. DKeX rolled out in June 2026 during the World Cup knockout stage. CEO Jason Robins described DKeX as giving Predictions “a vertically integrated foundation.” In other words, DraftKings now controls the venue as well as the storefront.

Why DraftKings walked away from Nevada

On November 12, 2025, DraftKings and FanDuel signed a stipulated order with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, The Nevada Independent reported. Both agreed to surrender their Nevada approvals and withdraw pending applications. Nevada regulators called prediction markets incompatible with the state’s gaming regime.

The trade-off was clear. DraftKings gave up a state that had never been core to its business. In return, it kept the freedom to sell sports event contracts in California, Texas and other states without legal sportsbooks.

Markets you can trade

DraftKings lists a broader menu than its sportsbook roots suggest:

  • Sports: NFL, NBA, college football, MLB, NHL, WNBA, tennis, soccer, golf, MMA, boxing, motorsports and sailing.
  • Crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and XRP.
  • Politics: Congress, governors’ races and the presidential election, plus Brazilian politics.
  • Financials: the Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 and crude oil.
  • Economics: jobs, the Fed, inflation and global central banks.
  • Culture and climate: the Oscars, Dancing with the Stars, TIME awards, Spotify charts and climate questions.

Combos let you bundle several predictions into one contract. They pay more because every leg must hit, the same math as a parlay. Run the numbers through our parlay calculator before you stack them.

DraftKings Predictions fees

DraftKings charges a flat fee per contract, which covers broker commissions and exchange fees:

Contract price Fee per contract
$0.01 to $0.19 $0.01
$0.20 to $0.96 $0.02
$0.97 to $0.99 $0.01

On a 50-cent contract, two cents is 4% of your stake, slightly more than Kalshi’s 1.75 cents at the same price. On a 5-cent long shot, the one-cent fee is 20% of your stake. DraftKings is competitive on mid-priced markets and expensive on the cheap end.

There is no DraftKings fee on deposits or withdrawals, though your bank may charge its own.

Age, sign-up and state access

You need to be 18 or older, or older where state law requires. That is three years younger than DraftKings Sportsbook in most states.

DraftKings Predictions is not available in Maine or New Hampshire, and it does not offer sports contracts in Nevada. Sports contracts are also restricted in a number of other states, with DraftKings concentrating them where its sportsbook does not operate. In states where sports are off, you can still trade financial, economic and culture markets.

If you live in a state with legal sports betting, you may find DraftKings Sportsbook is the better product for sports. Our state betting guides cover the licensed options. Our prediction market legal states page tracks the court cases that decide where sports contracts can run.

Deposits and withdrawals

The minimum deposit is $5, and funds must come from an account in your own name. Methods include:

  • Visa or Mastercard debit
  • ACH and online banking
  • Apple Pay (debit cards only)
  • Wire transfer
  • PayPal, in select states

Withdrawals start at $1 and usually go back to your deposit method. Your first withdrawal can take 24 to 72 hours while DraftKings verifies your account. After that, ACH typically takes three to five business days, and debit and PayPal are faster.

The app

DraftKings Predictions runs on iOS, Android and desktop, and DraftKings has been folding it into its main app so sportsbook customers can move between products. If you already hold a DraftKings account, signing in is the fastest onboarding in the category.

A DraftKings Predictions trade, worked through

Take an NFL game where the favorite trades at 64 cents. You buy 50 contracts.

  • Cost: 50 × $0.64 = $32.
  • Fee: 50 × $0.02 = $1.
  • If the favorite wins: you receive $50, a profit of $17 after fees.
  • If it loses: you lose $33.

Compare that with a sportsbook price. A 64-cent contract implies roughly -178 in American odds before fees. Our odds converter makes that comparison quick, and if the sportsbook is offering -160 on the same side, the sportsbook is the better deal.

What DKeX changes for traders

Before DKeX, DraftKings relied on third-party venues to list and match its contracts. Owning the exchange gives DraftKings control over which markets it lists, how quickly it adds them and how it prices the plumbing. In June 2026, DraftKings also launched a market-making division, which puts its own capital on the book.

For customers, more market making usually means tighter spreads on popular games. It also means DraftKings is on both sides of the business, as broker and as a liquidity provider. That is worth knowing when you judge how a price was formed.

Taxes

Gains are taxable income. DraftKings provides account statements, but event contracts are a newer product than sports bets and their tax treatment is not fully settled. Check with a tax professional.

Who DraftKings Predictions suits

  • Existing DraftKings customers, who can start trading with the account they already have.
  • Mid-price traders, since two cents on a 50-cent contract is a modest 4%.
  • 18-to-20-year-olds in states without a 21+ sportsbook option.

Long-shot hunters should look elsewhere: one cent on a five-cent contract is a 20% haircut.

How it compares

Against FanDuel Predicts, the closest rival, DraftKings has a cheaper fee on most trades and a wider category list. FanDuel has CME Group as its exchange partner. Against Kalshi, DraftKings costs slightly more near 50 cents and noticeably more on heavy favorites and long shots.

Head-to-head

App CFTC role Age Trading fee
DraftKings Predictions FCM 18+ $0.01–$0.02 per contract
FanDuel Predicts FCM (CME-listed) 18+ 2% of payout
Kalshi DCM 18+ 0.07 × price × (1 − price)

Trading responsibly

Because Predictions sits next to a sportsbook and casino in the DraftKings ecosystem, it is easy to move money between products. Set deposit limits on your account, keep prediction trading to a fixed budget, and use the self-exclusion options in your DraftKings account settings if you need a break. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Before you deposit

  • Check which categories load in your state. If sports are missing, you can still trade finance, economics and culture.
  • Avoid sub-20-cent contracts unless the edge is large; the fee takes a big bite.

Our verdict on DraftKings Predictions

DraftKings Predictions is the easiest prediction market to recommend to an existing sportsbook customer, and the flat fee is good value on mid-priced contracts. With DKeX, DraftKings now owns more of the stack than any sportsbook rival.

The drawbacks are state restrictions on sports and a fee that eats into cheap contracts. If you trade long shots, look elsewhere; if you trade game lines and economic data, it is a strong pick.
