Ten pounds is the standard price of a UK sign-up offer, but what it buys varies far more than the headlines suggest. Betfred and BetSuna both promise £50; Spreadex promises £60; most of the big names return £30 or £40. The real differences lie in how the free bets are split, how long the qualifying odds are and how quickly everything expires. We have ranked every £10-qualifier sportsbook offer we list by what you get back, and read each bookmaker’s own terms to explain what stands between the headline and your account.

The ranking is by face value, which is the figure the bookmakers advertise. As the sections below show, face value is only the starting point: a smaller offer with flexible free bets and easy qualifying odds can be worth more in practice than a larger one tied to four-leg accumulators.

Bet £10 get £50 or more: Spreadex, Betfred and BetSuna

Spreadex: bet £10 get £60 in fixed-odds and spread bets

The biggest return on the list, and the most unusual. Place a £10 fixed-odds single or a £10 each-way bet at 1/2 or bigger, and Spreadex gives you three £10 fixed-odds free bets plus three £5 Total Goals football spread bets, three £5 Winning Favourites spread bets and a £1 racing Race Index spread bet. A Promo Code is optional. The qualifying odds of 1/2 are among the gentlest on the market, so the £10 trigger is cheap. The spread betting half is a different matter: spread betting losses can exceed your deposit, so learn how those markets settle before you use it. The £30 of fixed-odds free bets is straightforward; our Spreadex review explains the rest.

Betfred: bet £10 get £50 in sports and acca free bets

The largest pure fixed-odds package. Deposit at least £10 with a debit card in your name within seven days of registering, then make your first bet £10 or more at evens on a sportsbook market; it must settle within seven days of sign-up. Betfred is strict that only the very first valid bet counts, and two smaller bets adding up to £10 will not qualify. Within ten hours of settlement you receive three £10 free bets for any sportsbook market and two £10 free bets for win-only accumulators of four or more selections.

All five expire seven days after issue, and Betfred verifies you before crediting them. Prepaid cards, e-wallets, Totepool, virtuals and cashed-out bets do not count, and the acca free bets cannot go on each-way accumulators. The offer is limited to one per address, IP address, device or mobile number, so a second account in the same household will not get it. More in the Betfred review.

BetSuna: a single £50 free bet

BetSuna pays its £50 as one free bet, to be used in one go at odds of 1.5 or more after £10 of qualifying bets. Winnings carry a 1x wagering requirement, played from your real balance first, and the most that converts to cash is £200. The free bet lasts seven days, Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded, and requesting a withdrawal voids any active bonus, so do not cash out your balance until the free bet has been used. It is a big single shot rather than a spread of bets: a £50 free bet that wins at 3.0 returns £100 in winnings, which you then wager once before withdrawing.

Bet £10 get £40: SBK and Betway compared

SBK: £40 in £5 tokens for a bet at 2/1

SBK asks for the longest odds on the page: a single £10 bet at 3.0 (2/1) or bigger after a first deposit of at least £10 by debit card or bank transfer. PayPal, Revolut, Skrill, Neteller and virtual or prepaid cards, including virtual Monzo cards, do not qualify. The £40 arrives as eight £5 tokens in three drops: a Football Bet Builder and a Horse Racing Multiple on settlement, three more after 24 hours and three after 48 hours. Every token needs at least four legs and expires five days after it lands.

SBK’s own terms show how the tokens pay: a £10 free bet that wins at 4.0 adds £30 to your withdrawable balance, with the stake kept back. On a £5 four-leg token the sums are smaller but the odds are usually far longer. The SBK review covers the app and the exchange connection.

Betway: £40 for Bet Builders and accumulators

Betway’s £40 needs a debit card deposit of £10 within seven days of registering and a £10 bet at 2.0, or 3.0 for each-way. Starting-price bets, virtuals and eSoccer do not qualify, and Betway excludes a long list of card issuers, Revolut among them. The four £10 tokens are restrictive: two for Bet Builders and two for accumulators, each needing four or more legs at combined odds of 4.0, with every acca leg at 1.30 or bigger. They expire after seven days. For a punter who already enjoys Saturday accumulators, that is no hardship; for one who prefers single bets, the £40 is harder to use well than William Hill’s £30. Our Betway review has the rest.

Bet £10 get £30 free bets: William Hill, bet365 and the rest

William Hill’s sign-up offer requires Promo Code S30 at registration. Deposit £10, place a £10 single at evens or bigger, and you get three £10 free bets for any sports market except virtuals, valid for seven days. The qualifying deposit cannot be made by PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and several other methods, so use a debit card. Those three free bets are among the most flexible on this page, usable on a single horse or a single football result. The William Hill promo code S30 guide walks through registration.

bet365 works differently. Deposit £5 or more and claim within 30 days for 300% of the deposit in Bet Credits, up to £30, released once you have placed qualifying bets to the value of your deposit, capped at £10, at 1/5 or bigger. Bet Credits expire after seven days and the stake is not included in returns. Promo Code 365GMBLR can be used at registration but does not change the amount; our bet365 promo code page explains why.

Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet, sister brands, run identical deals: deposit £10 and place a £10 bet at 1.5 that settles within 14 days, then receive £20 for the sportsbook and £10 for Bet Builders, to be accepted within seven days and used within seven more. Reviews: Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet. MogoBet mirrors BetSuna’s format on a smaller scale, with a single £30 free bet at 1.5, 1x wagering on winnings and a £200 conversion cap, valid for seven days.

Grosvenor Sports adds a twist. Deposit £10 and bet £10 at evens for three £10 free bets within 72 hours of settlement, plus a 100% odds boost on that first bet. Grosvenor’s terms say it is the profit that is doubled, on fractional odds, so a £10 winner at evens would pay £20 profit instead of £10. Paysafecard deposits and Republic of Ireland customers are excluded, and anyone who has started wagering towards Grosvenor’s casino welcome offer cannot also take the free bets.

What £50 in free bets is really worth

Free bet stakes are not returned. A £10 free bet that wins at 3.0 pays £20, not £30, and that one rule changes the maths of every offer above.

Take Betfred’s package. The three £10 sports free bets, used at evens, would each return £10 profit on a win. The two acca free bets need four selections, so they are long shots with large payouts. Over many bets, a stake-not-returned free bet is worth roughly half its face value at evens and a larger share at bigger prices; our free bets guide sets out the expected value at different odds. On that basis, three £10 free bets used at evens are worth around £15 over the long run, and more if you take bigger prices.

Two further factors shift the ranking. The first is the cost of qualifying: a £10 bet at 1/2 wins far more often than a £10 bet at 3.0, so Spreadex, Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet are cheaper to trigger than SBK. The second is flexibility. Three £10 free bets you can use anywhere, as at William Hill and Grosvenor, are easier to turn into winnings than tokens tied to four-leg Bet Builders. A punter who never builds accumulators may get more from a £30 offer than a £40 one.

How to claim a bet £10 get free bets welcome offer

  1. Choose one offer and read its qualifying odds and deadline.
  2. Register through the offer card and enter any Promo Code at sign-up.
  3. Deposit at least £10 with a debit card in your own name.
  4. Place one qualifying bet at or above the minimum odds, and do not cash it out.
  5. Wait for settlement; free bets usually follow within hours, or up to 72 hours at Grosvenor.
  6. Use the free bets before they expire, on the markets they allow.

How the 2026 Gambling Commission rules shape £10 sign-up offers

Under the Gambling Commission’s rules in force from 19 January 2026, any wagering requirement on a bonus is capped at 10x, and operators can no longer tie one product’s bonus to play on another. That is why every offer on this page is sports-only, and why Grosvenor keeps its sports free bets and casino welcome offer strictly apart. BetSuna and MogoBet’s single wager on winnings sits well inside the cap; SBK, for one, adds free bet winnings straight to your withdrawable balance.

Cheaper sign-up offers: bet £5 alternatives

If £10 feels like too much for a first bet, Ladbrokes and Coral both give £30 in free bets for a £5 bet at 1/2. bet365’s 300% formula also scales down, so a £5 deposit earns £15 in Bet Credits. We compare them on the bet £5 get £30 page. FAQ

Which bookmakers offer bet £10 get £50?

Betfred and BetSuna both give £50 for a £10 bet, and Spreadex goes further with £60 in fixed-odds free bets and spread bets. Betfred pays its £50 as five £10 free bets; BetSuna pays a single £50 free bet.

What odds do I need for a bet £10 get £50 offer?

Betfred needs your first £10 bet at evens (2.0) or bigger. Spreadex accepts 1/2, and BetSuna asks for 1.5 on the free bet itself. SBK's £40 offer has the highest bar, at 3.0.

Can I withdraw £50 in free bets?

No. Free bets cannot be withdrawn as cash, and the stake is not returned when they win. What you can withdraw is the winnings, though BetSuna and MogoBet ask you to wager free bet winnings once and cap conversion at £200.

Is bet £10 get £50 better than bet £10 get £30?

On headline value, yes, but check the split. Betfred's £50 includes £20 that can only go on four-fold accumulators, while William Hill's £30 is three £10 free bets usable on any sports market except virtuals.

Do I need a Promo Code for bet £10 get free bets offers?

Most need none. William Hill requires Promo Code S30 at registration for its £30 offer. bet365 accepts Promo Code 365GMBLR, but says it does not change the offer amount.

Can I use PayPal to claim a bet £10 get £50 offer?

Not at Betfred, which requires a debit card in your name, and not at William Hill, which excludes PayPal and Apple Pay deposits. Use a debit card for the first deposit to be safe.
