Since 19 January 2026 the Gambling Commission has capped wagering on every bonus at 10x, so the punishing requirements of a few years ago have gone. How much bingo play does each welcome bonus need?
“Play needed” in the table is the bonus multiplied by its wagering requirement, using each site’s own terms and the smallest qualifying deposit. It is the figure that matters most for a casual player, because it is the amount of bingo you must buy before a win from bonus money can leave your account.

Divide the play needed by the time allowed and the picture sharpens. Queen’s asks for about £5 of bingo a day over its 30 days; Wink asks for £100 a day over five. Dotty’s 3x wagering looks light, but squeezing £150 of play into two days is a heavier evening’s bingo than most people plan for.
No wagering bingo: Heart’s free tickets and Betfred’s 1x bonus
Heart Bingo has the only welcome offer on our list with no wagering at all. Use Promo Code HEART, opt in, deposit and play £10 in any bingo room within seven days of registering, and you receive 500 free tickets worth up to £50 when used in 10p games. Once you have played them, any winnings go into your cash balance. Two limits apply: the tickets work only in games up to 10p, and they expire after seven days. Heart also allows one welcome offer per customer across its bingo and casino sides, so taking its free spins instead rules out the tickets.
Betfred’s offer is the next simplest. With Promo Code BINGO100, a debit card deposit and a £10 stake on bingo tickets, you get a £10 bingo bonus that needs to be wagered just once, plus 100 free tickets of up to 10p each. Betfred’s terms say winnings from the free tickets are paid in cash and can be withdrawn immediately, and the tickets can be used in any room marked “FT” in the lobby. Stakes on side games do not count towards the qualifying £10.
Both offers trade a smaller headline for a shorter route to real money. For anyone who would rather keep what they win than chase a large number, they are the place to start.
500%, 400% and 200%: how matched bingo bonuses compare
Most sites give bonus money as a percentage of your first deposit. The percentages look dramatic, but it is the cap and the wagering that decide what the offer is worth. Wink and Dotty both pay 500%, which turns £10 into a £50 bonus and £20 into the £100 maximum. Dotty’s 3x wagering on bingo makes it the better value of the two, but you must claim within 48 hours of registering, deposit by debit card and use the bonus within two days. Wink gives five days and asks 10x, and its bonus is played only once your cash balance reaches zero.
The 400% offers at Queen’s, Panda and Wombat are steadier. Each gives £40 from £10, with 4x wagering on bingo over 30 days, and the bonus converts to cash only up to the bonus amount. ProgressPlay, the licence holder behind all three, uses your real balance first and calculates wagering on bonus bets only, with contributions varying by game. The deposit must go through the bingo cashier to count.
ChitChat’s 200% games bonus sits at the other end. It pays up to £40, so £20 from a £10 deposit, and asks 10x wagering, though that can be met on the mini games inside the bingo rooms as well as on bingo itself. Vampire’s £30 games bonus works the same way, at the same 10x.
Bingo bonus or free spins: the Rank sites’ choose-your-offer deals
Mecca, Lucky Pants and Kitty, all run by Rank, let you choose a bingo bonus or free spins, and you choose by playing: the first qualifying game you spend in decides which offer you get. Mecca’s bingo route is the cheapest on this page. With Promo Code MECCA, deposit at least £5 and spend £5 on selected bingo games within seven days for a £20 bingo bonus with 5x wagering, plus a £10 Club Voucher redeemable at a Mecca club. The bonus cannot be used in the Deal or No Deal rooms or invite-only rooms.
Mecca’s terms contain one detail many players miss. Bingo bonuses there are spent before your cash, and withdrawing from your cash balance forfeits any bonus not yet played through. Lucky Pants and Kitty (Promo Code KITTY at Kitty) give a £35 bingo bonus for a £10 spend in the Main Event room, with 6x wagering, so £210 of play, and a £200 cap on what converts to cash. At all three, PayPal and Paysafecard deposits do not qualify, and only the first deposit counts: deposit a second time before qualifying and the welcome offer is gone.
The 10x wagering cap and the ban on bingo-and-slots bundles
Two Gambling Commission rules came into force on 19 January 2026. The first caps wagering: no incentive can require bonus funds to be played through more than ten times. The highest wagering among our sites, at Wink, ChitChat and Vampire, sits exactly at that limit. The second bans mixed-product offers, so a single incentive can no longer require play across different products, such as bingo and casino games. That is why the Rank brands now ask you to pick bingo or spins, rather than handing over both in one package.
For bingo players the cap has done more good than harm. Offers are easier to compare, and the worst of the old terms have disappeared. It has not made all bonuses equal, as the table above shows, and it has encouraged some sites to compete on percentages rather than on how easy the money is to keep. Queen’s Bingo vs Heart Bingo: what £10 really gets you
Take a £10 deposit at Queen’s Bingo. You receive a £40 bingo bonus with 4x wagering, so you need to play £160 of bingo within 30 days, and your real money is used first. If you finish the wagering with £25 in your bonus balance, the whole £25 converts to cash, because the conversion cap is the bonus amount of £40. Finish with £60 and only £40 converts. Withdraw your cash before you finish and the bonus is cancelled.
The same £10 at Heart takes a different path. You play £10 of bingo, receive 500 tickets, use them in 10p games, and whatever they win is cash straight away. There is less money on the table at the start, but no £160 hurdle in the middle and no cap at the end, beyond the 10p limit on the games the tickets can be used in. Which suits you depends on how much bingo you were planning to play anyway: a regular who buys £40 of tickets a week will clear Queen’s comfortably, while an occasional player will usually get more from Heart.
Payment exclusions, expiry dates and conversion caps in bingo bonus terms
The payment method you choose can decide whether a bonus arrives at all. Dotty and Betfred accept only a debit card for their welcome offers, the Rank brands exclude PayPal and Paysafecard, and the ProgressPlay brands exclude Skrill and Neteller. Expiry ranges from two days at Dotty to 30 days at Mecca, Rank’s sister sites and the ProgressPlay group, with Heart’s and Betfred’s free tickets lasting seven.
Conversion caps limit what a bonus can ever be worth: £200 at Lucky Pants and Kitty, and the bonus amount itself at the ProgressPlay brands. Finally, look at the order in which balances are spent. Wink uses its bonus only once your cash reaches zero, the ProgressPlay sites use your real balance first, and Mecca and Betfred spend the bonus before your cash. Betfred also checks your identity before awarding any bonus, as every licensed site must before you play.
Free bingo without a deposit bonus
None of the twelve sites offers a no-deposit welcome bonus, but free bingo is easy to find once you have an account.
